The Leasing Agent is responsible for direct interaction with prospective and current residents. The role touches the leasing process from introduction through occupancy, and is responsible for maintaining trust and communication from onboarding of the tenant through the duration of their tenancy.
REQUIREMENTS

• Licensed NY State Agent
• MUST live in Nassau or Suffolk County
• 3 to 5 years in Real Estate Sales / Rentals
• Must have reliable transportation
• Computer proficiency—Microsoft Office / General Computer Skills
• Local area knowledge
• Handling All aspects of leasing, including: phone screening, showings, fair housing, lease renewals,
• Competency in, or the ability to become competent in, the following:
  • Appfolio Management Software
  • Anti-Discrimination Act
  • Reading and understanding leases
  • Tenant Relations
  • Home / Apartment Inspections ( Move in / Move out )
  • General Building Maintenance

The Leasing Agent must be highly organized with strong time management skills and an understanding of prioritization. Naturally driven to provide excellent customer service and to instill trust, the Leasing Agent is a natural communicator with good negotiation skills, the ability to work independently, and a professional demeanor.
