    Manager, Data Architecture & Engineering

    Worksite: 6250 N River Road, Rosemont, IL

    Description:
    Manage a team of direct reports, responsible for the overall design and delivery of Global Certified Data solutions. Manage the company's Global Data Warehouse and all associated data pipelines and/or data flows. Define and oversee the end-to-end ETL development process including estimation, design, pipeline development, unit testing and deployment. Plan and allocate development team resources to projects, enhancements, and support workstreams in accordance with company priorities. Help to establish and enforce design and development standards and best practices across the development team.

    Assess challenges or gaps in the current Global Data Architecture and defines, and executes continuous improvement plans to address those issues.

    Actively develops the Data Architecture and Engineering team skillset and capabilities through the use of training opportunities, educational resources, and career pathing.

    Perform people management tasks such as talent acquisition, goal setting, onboarding, performance evaluation, development planning, succession planning and retention. Establish effective strategic partnerships with business leadership, external vendors, and key technical resources. Other projects or duties as assigned. 100% Telecommuting.


    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    This position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field plus 6 years of experience as Data Base Architect or related occupation and 2 years Supervisory Experience in the Engineering Field.

    Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with 1) Data Warehousing (Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server); 2) ETL/ELT (Azure Data Factory, Informatica, SSIS); 3) Application of Business Intelligence in data warehousing and data architecture; 4) Develop solutions within a standard SDLC framework; 5) Development of the Data and Analytics strategy and solutions.
