    Position Summary

    The University of Nebraska Medical Center's Department of Neurological Sciences is seeking a full-time neuropsychologist with specialized training in epilepsy. The position involves pre-surgical evaluations and assessments for adults with epilepsy, as well as general adult and geriatric referrals from various teams. This primarily clinical role also includes opportunities to teach and contribute to the UNMC academic mission through mentoring residents and fellows.

    About the Position

    This faculty appointment offers a collaborative work environment within the DONS Neuropsychology Division, comprising five adult/geriatric neuropsychologists, two fellows, one practicum student, and five psychometrists. Our Level 4 Epilepsy Center features a multidisciplinary team working together to provide comprehensive care via advanced technologies such as EMU, vEEG monitoring, PET, MEG, high-resolution MRI, and ROSA systems.

    Responsibilities

    As a neuropsychologist, you will conduct pre-surgical evaluations and Wada assessments for adults with epilepsy, as well as general adult and geriatric referrals from various teams. You will also have opportunities to specialize and work with broader clinical populations based on your interests. Your contributions to the UNMC academic mission will include teaching and mentoring medical residents and fellows, and possibly involvement in departmental research and projects.

    Qualifications

    A doctoral degree from an APA/CPA-accredited program, completion of an APA/CPA-accredited internship program, and completion of a two-year Neuropsychology post-doctoral fellowship are required. Applicants must be licensed in Nebraska or license-eligible. Preference will be given to candidates who are board-certified or board-eligible in Clinical Neuropsychology through ABPP.
