Senior Inventory Planning & Replenishment Analyst Report to: Inventory Planning & Replenishment Manager The Buyer role will assist the Inventory Planning & Replenishment Manager in daily tasks and requirements, including but not limited to, the following:


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist IPR manager and branch managers maintain inventory stocking profiles that support customer requirements and ensure world class delivery & serviceManage optimal inventory levels at branch locations; maximize inventory turns, while maintaining stock levels required to service customer demandAnalyze market trends and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and schedule replenishment orders accordinglyReceive and validate incoming requisitionsPrepare & place purchase ordersManage cost and address AP to PO issuesPrevent & reduce excess & obsolete inventoryAnswer supplier and customer inquiriesProcess data entry requests and conduct system inquiriesFollow up with suppliers on open order & delivery statusAdhere to company's procurement policies and proceduresManage activities to meet or exceed Inventory Report metricsRespond promptly to internal inquiriesAssist in other tasks or projects under the supply chain group including but not limited to inventory control functions EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree or high school diploma, 3-5 years' experience in distribution business with 2+ years purchasing experience.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIESProficiency with Microsoft Office programs is required, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
Strong Customer Service skills and problem resolutionDemonstrated ability to perform and adapt in a changing environmentMust be able to work independently and be a self-starterAbility to be effective without immediate supervisionAvailable to work in the Braddock PA branch and travel as necessary for occasional meetings
