    Position Summary

    The Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) performs clinical laboratory tests by standard operating policies and procedures.

    As a MLS, you will understand method principles, performs quality control & calibrations, performs preventive maintenance, and analyzes results as to accuracy, acceptability and critical limits.

    Minimum Requirements

    Bachelor's degree or higher in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, or a biological, chemical, or physical science from an accredited institution
    Bachelor's degree with a combination of 30 semester hours (45 quarter hours) in biology and chemistry, obtained within or in addition to the degree is also acceptable
    For non-CLS/MT degrees, one year of experience in a clinical laboratory is required


    Preferred:
    Certification as MLS, BB, C, H or MB by ASCP or other nationally recognized certifying agency

    Other Information

    40 hours a week
    Required to work rotating split shifts that consist of 11 am - 7:30 pm & 7 am - 3:30 pm
    Required to work rotational weekends
