    The Position:
    The Head Learning Innovation and Solutions will set the strategy and direction for learning content development and associated processes.


    This role will lead a global team of learning content developers (instructional designers) who design, develop, and deliver innovative and modernized learning solutions in partnership with Functional Learning Partners and the Business.


    The role will stay abreast of industry- and non-industry-specific learning content best practices and emerging technologies, as well as applicable regulations and GXP requirements.


    They will maintain a multi-year strategy and roadmap to modernize training across the CSL Enterprise, in partnership with the Head Learning Partners/Learning BPO, focusing specifically on translating learning needs into compliant and effective training solutions.


    Responsible for driving innovation in learning and development initiatives, leveraging emerging technologies and best practices to create cutting-edge solutions that enhance employee learning experiences that drive efficiencies and effectiveness.

    Utilizes instructional design expertise and technical skills, for exploring new ways to deliver learning content.

    They will augment SOP-focused, Read and Understand learning approaches with more engaging and innovative solutions and industry best practices such as micro-learning, AI and Virtual Reality.


    Transforms training delivery in a highly regulated GxP environment and drives a higher level of knowledge retention and engagement across the enterprise workforce.


    Partners with key stakeholders to provide expertise around the most effective training approach, balancing compliance, complexity and skills required to suit individual business needs.


    Responsibilities:
    Lead the Team to Design and Deploy Innovative and Modernized Learning


    • Proactively incorporate emerging technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality, gamification, mobile learning, and micro learning.
    • Partner with learning partners to understand learning and development needs and strategies across all functions.
    • Make sure the content team is designing and delivering engaging and interactive learning experiences that cater to diverse learning styles and preferences.
    • Team with Learning Partners to create scalable and innovative solutions to deploy within and across functions
    Enhance Learning Programs through Deployment of Innovative Solutions


    • Act as a thought leader and advocate for learning innovation within the organization, promoting a culture of continuous learning and experimentation.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and technology partners to identify learning needs and develop impactful solutions.
    • Research and evaluate new tools, platforms, and methodologies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of learning programs.
    • Provide guidance and support to instructional designers and content developers on the integration of innovative learning techniques.
    • Lead the team in creating prototypes and proof-of-concepts to demonstrate the potential of new learning technologies and approaches.
    • Establishes and maintains a centralized library of learning content, accessible across the Enterprise
    • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in learning innovation, sharing insights and recommendations with internal stakeholders, and learning partners.
    • Identify and establish vendor relationships and innovative solutions that are of high quality and relevant
    Evaluate Learning Program Effectiveness; Continually Improve and Innovate


    • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning solutions through data analysis and feedback mechanisms, making iterative improvements as needed.
    • Stay abreast of compliance metrics across functions and partner with learning partners to understand and mitigate issues/gaps associated with compliance.
    Own the Learning Innovation Strategy and Roadmap across the Enterprise


    • Develop and maintain a multi-year strategy to innovate and modernize learning programs across CSL Stay current with industry trends and best practices in learning and development.
    • Act as a trusted advisor and consultant to stakeholders on learning and development matters.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal clients and external vendors
    Oversees DR/CAPA, Change Control, Inspection Readiness, and Continuous Improvement for Learning Innovation and Solutions


    • Investigates deviations and owns business change controls and CAPAs related to learning content or the Learning Innovation and Solution function
    • Supports site and functional audits and inspections, as required
    • Reviews audit reports, supports responses to findings, and takes appropriate actions to ensure GXP compliance, as related to the DMS/Records Management.
    Talent Management and Performance


    • Manage a team of learning partners inclusive of goal setting
    • Coach and mentor the team to deliver on and exceed customer expectations
    • Actively manage performance
    • Identify talent needs and recruit as needed
    • Manage career progression for team inclusive of succession planning

    Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Computer Science, or related field (Advanced degree preferred).
    • 8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
    • 6-8+ years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, or related roles.
    • Minimum 5 years' experience managing a L&D team of professionals
    • Demonstrated ability to deploy innovative/state of the art learning solutions leveraging emerging technologies/solutions
    • Experience interfacing with senior business leaders across various function with a high degree of influence and engagement
    • Experience designing and delivering a variety of learning modalities, including e-learning, instructor-led training, and virtual instructor-led training.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
    • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving innovation in learning solutions.
