- Perform skilled manual labor and operate heavy equipment like backhoes and tractors in various activities related to road construction, repair, and maintenance.
- Coordinate the setup of maintenance work zones according to the SCDOT guidelines to ensure safety for motorists.
- Assist in emergency and inclement weather operations, including operating motor graders.
- Possibility of extended hours or 12-hour shifts when needed.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience or approved equivalence.
- Must have a valid motor vehicle operator's license.
- Need to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 6 months of hire.
