- Under the direction of the VP of Merchandise Product Services, and in collaboration with property leadership, create, propose, and execute on shop, product, product grouping, impact statement concepts designed to support and leverage property brands and overarching strategies while also driving results that meet or exceed company financial goals
- Develop, implement, manage, and regularly evaluate & evolve product offerings, pricing strategies, and sales mixes in a manner consistent with achieving properties financial goals, capitalizing on areas of opportunity, and growing the business
- Partner with properties to develop and ensure effective in-stand guest communication and graphics in to drive sales and improve guest experience (e.g. promotional signage, in-stand graphics, etc.)
- Train, coach, and develop junior buyers
- Manage purchasing and COS affecting functions, ensuring effective inventory purchasing and management, stock level standards, etc.
- Coach, develop and manage buying team members and property team members in the area of product plan execution, exceptional display tactics, and effective product flow
- Set, communicate, and manage specific and clear behavioral standards for subordinates within the department including maintaining positive, professional relationships and positive, effective communication with subordinates, peers, managers, and guests
- Serve as the liaison between buying team and property leadership, providing information, updates, analysis, and recommendations relating to the overall product strategy on an ongoing basis, and effectively communicating and executing key direction to subordinates
- Provide department staff with necessary information, tools, and feedback to effectively perform their job duties
- Perform job duties of subordinate departmental roles as necessary

- Must have the ability to read, interpret, analyze and write financial reports and business correspondence
- Must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

- Must have a pro-active mindset with a high sense of urgency
- Must display attention to detail focus
- Bachelors Degree in related field of study preferred
- High volume theme park retail management or buying experience, or equivalent experience preferred
- Multi-unit management experience or equivalent experience preferred
- Work history that illustrates successful ability to teach, train, influence, and coach others with positive result
- Proven experience in successfully managing large scale retail product mix and retail product development
- Proven experience successfully troubleshooting and implementing successful retail plans
- Recent, proven experience in meeting and exceeding profit goals in a retail impulse sales environment
- Experience with Pronto software is a plus
