    Description

    JOB SUMMARY:

    With general supervision of HR Manager, the HR Specialist provides front-line response and consultation to employees and management in the areas of recruitment, personnel actions, employee benefits, and leaves of absence. Coordinates the completion of departmental projects and initiatives as identified by HR Leadership. Provides support to interdepartmental teams throughout the hospital system.

    SKILLS REQUIRED:

    Outstanding communication - both written and verbal

    Effective use of discretion and critical thinking

    Strong interpersonal and networking skills

    Self-directed and resourceful

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent

    2 years of experience

    Experience in a Human Resources department performing similar functions

    Solid understanding of human resources practices and labor laws in the areas of recruitment, AA/EEO, employee relations, compensation, training, benefits and wage and hour practices

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor's Degree

    3 years of experience

    PHR Certification

    SPHR Certification

    The expected hiring range for this position is $24.26 to $33.36
