    Description

    AVIONICS TEST SOFTWARE ENGINEER

    SpaceX is on a mission to explore the stars and make life on Mars a reality. Join our R&D Avionics Test team working on cutting-edge technologies for our rockets and spacecraft!

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Development of frameworks and tools for automated testing of Avionics components
    • Designing embedded software for avionics devices
    • Creating test data storage and analysis tools
    • Building instrumentation device drivers

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field
    • 2+ years of experience in Python development
    • 4+ years of object-oriented programming
    • Experience with application development on Linux and Windows

    PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Master’s degree in computer science
    • Electrical engineering knowledge
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
    • Experience with SQL and front-end technologies
    • Understanding of networking and data visualization

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends when necessary

    ITAR REQUIREMENTS:

    • U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S. is required due to government regulations
