    Role Summary

    Plan and implement design and configuration of vMC solution for customer lab and production environments. Design and prepare CIQ and other essential deliverables related to vMC solution deployment in customer network. Integrate the Mavenir vMC application server with third-party IMS, Archival, subscriber database and other legacy products. Develop understanding of feature requirements for mobile operator network. Lead and conduct test plan preparation and validation. Lead test execution; Execute test cases in an end-to-end environment; Log Defects for the issued faced; Defect Tracking; Status Reporting; Hold Test Review Meetings. Conduct debugging and troubleshooting investigations and coordinate with respective teams to implement fixes. Provide vMC Test Training and Test Support to the team members and other colleagues. Create and upgrade relevant tools required during testing.

    Job Requirements

    Requires a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field (foreign equivalent acceptable) and 5 years of experience in Telecommunications Engineering or a Master's in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field (foreign equivalent acceptable) and 2 years of experience in Telecommunications Engineering.

    Must have two (2) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

    • Hands-on experience with different cloud related operations for installation/deployment of vMC solution application nodes in Azure cloud
    • Experience with test plan preparation and execution
    • Experience with Defect tracking for RCA/closure
    • Experience with network design, acceptance criteria, and test-plans utilizing industry specifications and latest technological trends in telecommunications
    • Experience with 3GPP based Telecom Messaging flows and Protocols, including SS7, RCS, SIP, MSRP, SMTP/MM4, SMPP, HTTP/HTTPS, DIAMETER, LDAP, and DNS
    • Experience with Transaction Logs (TRLs), Call-Trace, Wireshark traces, and application logs
    • Experience with Python and Shell scripting to prepare automation tools/scripts for testing/debugging different call flows in vMC solution
    • Experience with Network Function Virtualization (NFV) concept
    • Experience with NFV components, including Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) and Container Network Functions (CNFs)
    • Experience with Cassandra and Swift
    • Experience with Azure networking concepts, network models, private/public networking, and network security aspects
    • Experience with Kubernetes for software deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications
    • Experience with Openstack Cloud Installation and Configuration
    • Experience with Confd and Kafka frameworks
