- Supervising entry to mid-experienced professional engineers, EITs, and CAD staff.
- Leading the design and technical direction for bridge and roadway transportation projects.
- Deliverables may include Reports, Contract Drawings, Special Provisions, Specifications, Permits, Quantities, and Opinions of Probable Cost.
- Leading the coordination with interfacing disciplines.
- Maintaining proficiency with engineering software.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the budget, schedule, and quality of Tasks and being up to speed on regulation changes and agency protocols and requirements.
- The candidate will be responsible for the development of proposals, scopes of work, staff-hour estimates, and work plans for engineering portions of work pursuits.
- Domestic travel for periodic project site visits or client meetings (up to 25% of the time).
- Bachelors (B.S.) degree from an accredited college in Civil Engineering (M.S. degree a plus)
- Professional Engineering license required (or have the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire) PA Required, OH or WV a Plus).
- Working experience and relationships with PennDOT Districts and the PA Turnpike Commission.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and work independently as needed on project-specific tasks.
- Ability to be efficient in planning and organizing workload.
- Dedicated commitment to performing quality work with a positive attitude and work ethic.
- Knowledge of MicroStation Connect Software and its use to generate roadway drawings.
- Ability to hike moderate distances through unimproved terrain, walk across uneven surfaces, etc.
- Ability to hear and visualize potential hazards during fieldwork or site visit situations.
- The successful candidate will be required to complete a pre-employment drug screening.
