POSITION SUMMARY
The Touring Accountant is responsible for transactional entries in QuickBooks and other technological tools, to ensure accuracy, timeliness and compliance to US GAAP.
The scope include all transactions of our Touring and Entertainment division.ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Support the Controller and the Director of Business Operations in conform standardization and effective transactional entries as per US GAAP.
Record accurately accounting transactions into accounting system – mainly AP and ARPrepare and process Revenue entries
Review and record vendor invoices in the company Accounting system, ensuring that are properly authorized and dated.
Registry and control over the deposits from clients.
Execute the daily cash reconciliation of events.
Prepare monthly AMEX reconciliations.
Prepare invoices to clients and register them in the Accounting system.
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations in digital platform – audit ready.
Update and maintain accounting journals –Travel and Expense subledger, Audit of Expense Report transactions and adherence to Expense Policies.
Support the Controller with all audit and internal control operations.
Support procurement processes.
Support month end close process by adhering to calendar.
Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines.
GENERAL SCOPE
Provide on site transactional accounting support as assigned and under the direction of the Controller and the Director of Business Operations.
Transactional volume KPI's are expected within 24 hour period for (1) Accounts Receivable including Billing issuance, collection efforts and reconciliations; (2) Accounts Payable including Project Code set up and reconciliations.
General Accounting:
(1) Monthly standard JE's including CAPEX depreciation schedules, amortizations (i.e. Insurance and pre-op amorts) (2) maintain Vendor Master File creation to comply with US tax requirements (i.e. W9, W8 BEN E); (3) Balance Sheet GL Accounts reconciled and summarized by matter on a monthly basis; (4) Monthly accruals and provisions with full transparency of supporting basis; (5) Revenue Recognition compliance; (6) other general accounting activities requested to support the Loud And Live Organization.
Services are to be provided ethically and in accordance to US General Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and within the Finance and Accounting norms of Best Practice.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education/Certification/Experience:
Bachelor's degree Accounting or related fields.
3+ years of related proven experience in similar role; agency and/or entertainment industry experience preferred.
Proficient in the use of QuickBooks.
Proficient in the use of MS Office.
The candidate should be proficient in English and Spanish both written and verbal.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Good interpersonal skills, along with the ability to collaborate across entire organization.
Ability to work well under pressure and in an environment of change.
In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices.
Excellent communication (verbal, written), interpersonal, organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Passionate individual willing to immerse him/herself in their work.
Self-motivated with strong organizational, management and time management skills with the ability to effectively set priorities.
Track record of building and maintaining client and vendor relationships.
