We are looking for a strong, hands-on Team Leader who leads by example and understands that no task is beneath them, from running the floor to counting the register to cleaning the carrot juice machine before closing.
Position: Restaurant Team Leader (Store Manager) Location: Allen Park, Michigan
About the Role:
Our Team Leader is on the floor, side by side with the team every single day. You lead with your hands, your work ethic, and your character. You hold the store to the highest standards of cleanliness, hospitality, and operations while making sure every team member feels supported and every guest feels at home.
What You'll Do: Daily Operations (Hands-On):
- Keep the front of house spotless, front doors, tables, and floors at all times
- Maintain clean and presentable restrooms throughout the shift
- Assist with bread preparation and service during peak hours
- Perform and verify accurate cash register counts at opening, mid-shift, and closing
- Lead and execute all shift closing duties thoroughly and on time
- Ensure menus are clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times
- Monitor the fridge and freezer daily, fill out all required logs and checklists
- Clean and sanitize the POP machine during every shift
- Ensure the carrot juice machine is cleaned at least 30 minutes before closing every night
- Be the last one to leave and the first one to set the standard
What You'll Do: Leadership & Management:
- Open and/or close the restaurant, managing all related procedures and checklists
- Supervise, coach, and motivate team members during every shift
- Train new hires on restaurant procedures, cleanliness standards, and hospitality expectations
- Hold the team accountable to performance, attitude, and appearance standards
- Manage shift scheduling and ensure adequate coverage at all times
- Handle guest concerns and complaints with professionalism, patience, and a solutions-first mindset
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate ordering needs to ownership
- Conduct daily and weekly walkthroughs to ensure all areas meet our standards
- Track cash flow, daily sales, and register reconciliation report discrepancies immediately
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive work environment for all team members
- Communicate directly with ownership regarding store performance, staffing, and operational needs
- Enforce all food safety and sanitation standards at all times
What We're Looking For:
- Deep understanding of and appreciation for Middle Eastern culture, hospitality customs, and dining etiquette
- Fluency in Arabic (required): you will regularly communicate with Arabic-speaking guests and ownership
- Experience as a leader of a restaurant, supervisory, or management experience preferred
- Proven ability to lead a team while still getting your hands dirty
- Strong cash handling and basic math skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills, you stay calm and solution-focused under pressure
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and consistent in holding standards
- Reliable, punctual, and someone the team genuinely looks up to
- Food Handler Certification (preferred) -> SERV Safe Manager Certification a plus
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
