SUMMARY Under the general guidance of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager the Manufacturing Engineer I develops and implements optimal cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards.

Recommends and leads process improvements to production processes methods and controls. Identifies and recommends cost saving changes to existing products. Coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products. Priorities include process improvement problem resolution project management and employee training. RESPONSIBILITIES Performs research design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow assembly methods and production equipment. Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals training team members and evaluating results.

Designs develops tests or sources various tools fixtures machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods ensuring that the associated costs are justified.

Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction quality improvement and efficiency improvement. Develops and maintains documentation required for manufacturing including drawings work/assembly instructions procedures and routings. Supports new product development efforts by participating in design projects ensuring Design for Manufacturability (DFM). Support manufacturing cost analysis and reporting of new/revised products.
