    The company is an equal opportunity employer./ph2Responsibilities/h2pThe Lead Pricing Actuary supports the Chief Actuary by performing specific class reviews, analysis of benchmark rates, working with the Underwriting and Claims Department on trends and metrics, and performing due diligence analysis and updates for pricing models and new products./polliAssists in the monitoring/analysis of key strategic business metrics for claims, underwriting, and management/liliPerforms pricing analyses for large accounts and works with Underwriting to determine appropriate premium, structure, rate need, etc.

    /liliPrepares pricing studies / rate reviews for the development of proprietary loss costs and severity curves/liliPrepares special studies as needed (rate indications, rate of return, large loss analysis, frequency severity trends)/liliCoach and mentor 1 to 2 analysts as it pertains to pricing workflow/projects consisting of:

    guidance for workflow, prioritization of pricing projects, and providing overall leadership for BPEs complex pricing needs/liliInterface with underwriting and product development on issues related to BPE pricing models, pricing tools and new products/liliAssists the Finance Department in pricing/price monitoring issues/liliAssists the Chief Actuary in the planning/budget process preparation/liliManages data needs for developing proprietary rates/li/olh2Qualifications/h2ulliBachelors Degree required, preferably in Mathematics or Actuarial Science./liliMinimum of 5-7 years of experience in the Property/Casualty Insurance industry./liliPublic Entity sector experience preferred./liliPrimary focus on the Pricing Practice area preferred./liliMember of the Casualty Actuarial Society./liliACAS designation required./liliEffective communication skills, both verbal and writing./liliStrong research and analytical skills./liliProficiency with MS Office Suite; knowledge of SQL language; knowledge of R, Python, etc.
