Backend Java Engineer at STAND 8

STAND 8 is a company that offers end-to-end IT solutions to enterprise partners in the United States, with offices in various locations such as LA, Atlanta, New York, and Raleigh.

As a Backend Java Engineer with us, you will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge, scalable services following a microservice architecture, being at the forefront of designing, delivering, and enhancing software solutions on evolving platforms, primarily utilizing Java and the Spring Framework.

Responsibilities

Participate in developing highly scalable services following a microservice architecture.
Design, develop, and deliver software on progressive platforms predominantly using Java and Spring.
Engage in code reviews, pair programming, and other code quality initiatives.
Actively contribute to design discussions.
Identify and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
Complete tasks as part of an agile team and adapt to dynamic business requirements.
Collaborate closely with other Software Engineers and Software Quality Engineers.
Effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

Must hold a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
3-5 years of experience in the field.
Expertise in building scalable, high-volume services.
Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Framework, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS services, Elasticsearch, and Gradle.
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Desired Requirements

Experience building Serverless applications is a plus.
Knowledge of relational databases and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB.
Experience with AWS Kinesis.
Background in Continuous Integration workflow.

Additional Details

The base range for this position is $65 - $80 per hour, varying with experience.

Our pay ranges are influenced by role, level, and location, reflecting the target for new hires of this position across all US locations.

Individual pay is determined by factors like work location, job-related skills, experience, and education/training.
