    JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

    Provides collaborative leadership for the process of planning, directing, integrating and coordinating activities to achieve departmental objectives and maintain high quality services.

    Responsible for operations of assigned department(s).

    Provides oversight as needed; responsible for personnel management, budget planning and monitoring, scheduling, systems improvement, compliance with regulatory requirements and strategic planning.

    Works in a clinical capacity to facilitate smooth functioning of the department when necessary.

    DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    Samaritan Wound Care treats acute or chronic wounds caused by diabetes, surgery, injury, poor blood flow and/or other problems.

    The scope of practice is physician driven and centered around wound, ostomy and continence care while maintaining additional adjunctive therapies such as vein medicine and hyperbaric medicine.

    EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
    One (1) of the following required:
    Current unencumbered Oregon RN License, BSN or equivalent nursing experience, Wound Care Certification (e.g. CWCN, CWOCN, or WCC) and three (3) years experience in Med/Surg, ICU and/or Surgery.
    Current unencumbered Oregon licensed Nurse Practitioner.
    One (1) year experience in an Outpatient department leadership role required.
    Healthcare Provider BLS required.
    Master's degree preferred.
    Nursing Experience in Critical Care or Surgery preferred.

    LCH Wound Ostomy:
    Two (2) years wound care experience required.
