    Relate Search has partnered with a leading Offshore Energy Solutions client in Houston, Texas and we are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to plan, direct and coordinate the activities of the maintenance, tooling, and engineering departments while facilitating efficient manufacturing operations across the organization

    Primary Responsibilities:
    The main duties are outlined as follows: Efficiently oversee the daily operations of the Engineering and Research & Development (R&D) departments Supervise personnel within the engineering department, including task allocation, adherence to standards, specifications, and timely delivery of engineering documents Possess knowledge of the company's equipment design philosophy and technologies Understand the offshore energy industry, its standards, and practices Conduct quality checks and verify the work of subordinates Assist operations and customers in resolving product issues Aid the sales department in increasing sales and acquiring new customers Take an active role in expanding product lines and developing new products Lead multiple design projects and teams Foster a high-energy work environment and maintain a positive attitude Keep the management team informed about significant engineering issues Collaborate as a member of the management team

    Work Activities:

    To fulfill the above responsibilities, the Engineering Manager will perform the following tasks: Develop designs to meet customer requirements Create new designs to diversify the company's product range Plan work activities for the engineering department Lead design reviews of staff work scopes Participate in professional societies and organizations Lead teams in meeting customer requirements Assist operations and customers with product issues Pursue personal and professional growth actively Assist sales and operations in product and project costing Possess a working understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and time domain analysis Verify the work of peers and subordinatesQualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering 10-15 years of work experience in mechanical design and manufacturing 10 years of experience in the offshore energy industry Experience in supporting sales efforts, including participating in customer meetings, aiding in product costing, and contributing to sales growth strategies.

    Familiarity with 3D CAD software (Preferably AUTODESK Inventor) for design tasks FEA and

    Analysis Skills:
    Ability to utilize Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and time domain analysis tools to validate designs and ensure they meet required specifications Preferred to be a Registered Professional Engineer

    Competency Requirements:
