    Description

    Title: Information Security Engineer
    Location: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 remote) or Fully Remote
    Duration: 12 months Start Date: Immediate

    Our client is seeking a Security Architect to review, oversee, and advise on security requirements across various security and technology projects.

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Support multiple security and technology projects as the security Subject Matter Expert (SME), ensuring compliance with Federated Hermes architecture principles, security policies, and standards.
    • Review project designs and proposals to identify relevant security requirements.
    • Identify security risks associated with applicable security requirements and recommend controls and processes.
    • Provide guidance to project teams, enabling them to make informed security decisions and ensuring the effective use of common tools and patterns.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to facilitate the implementation of technical security controls.
    • Lead the escalation and resolution of remaining project risks.
    • Provide advice on project go/no-go decisions for production go-live.
    • Produce pertinent security architecture documentation and risk artifacts.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Proficient in Azure cloud and Office 365 platform capabilities.
    • Experience with Intune and Azure Conditional Access policies.
    • Familiarity with virtual server and desktop environments like VMware and Citrix.
    • Knowledge of security architecture frameworks such as SABSA and TOGAF.
    • Familiarity with security frameworks like NIST800, CIS, and ISO27001.
    • Preferred industry certifications (CISSP, CCSP, CompTIA Security+, GIAC security essentials).
    • Preferred Microsoft technical certifications (Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer, 365 Security Administrator, MCSE).
    • Understanding of security and privacy regulations affecting financial services such as SOX and GDPR.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    Other Details:
    • The Security Architect will manage multiple initiatives concurrently while collaborating with the broader Security Architecture & Delivery group for alignment.
    This role reports to the Director of Information Security and offers flexibility for either hybrid or fully remote work arrangements.
