- Licensed LPN in the State of Michigan.
- Preferred oncology outpatient or acute care experience.
- Handle telephone messages from patients, hospitals, physicians, pharmacies, etc. regarding patient care and involving plan of care, disease process and medication refills in conjunction with physicians and registered nurses. Work through inbox and canopy
- Staff injection clinic by doing physical assessments, assessing laboratory values, administering injections, and establishing follow-up plan and future appointments. Refill non-oncolytic, and unscheduled medications per policy.
- Follow patient plan of care established by physician, Nurse practitioner or Registered Nurse. Function as a team member by expanding his/her responsibilities as directed by management to facilitate optimal workflow within the cancer center.
- Give clinical support to the scheduling department so appropriate tests are set up per physician request. Give support to infusion MA role as needed.
- In collaboration with pharmacy, nursing, and social work, manage patients who are receiving medicines via patient assistance programs and/or patients required to enroll in medication management for oral meds (Thalomid, Sutent, etc.)
