    Key Responsibilities

    • Serve client families by arranging cemetery services at need, as well as selling pre-need arrangements.

    As a Sales Advisor, you will provide personalized service, act as the primary contact for families, and play an essential role in generating revenue for the cemetery.


    Lead Generation

    • Prospect for a minimum of 1-2 hours each day.
    • Obtain referrals from served families.
    • Network and build relationships within the community and civic organizations.
    • Present information to families about cemetery services.
    • Track activity levels to ensure productivity.

    Build Relationships with Families

    • Respond promptly to client inquiries with respect and sensitivity.
    • Connect with families through listening and genuine concern.
    • Understand each family's unique needs and offer solutions that add value.
    • Stay in touch with families to ensure satisfaction.
    • Prepare thoroughly for appointments and maintain professionalism.
    • Follow up on customer concerns and requests.
    • Become trusted advisors to gain referrals and educate families on the benefits of pre-planning.

    Teamwork

    • Represent the link between services provided and future protection options.
    • Collaborate with funeral directors, location managers, and other staff members to provide seamless service.
    • Review previous services and contacts to support current needs.
    • Share family concerns with the rest of the team.

    Requirements


    Education

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • 1-2 years of college or equivalent education and experience preferred.

    Experience

    • 1-2 years of customer service or sales industry experience preferred.

    Licenses

    • Current state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
    • Insurance license if required by state law and prescribed by each state board.

    Skills and Abilities

    • Must pass the Company's internal presentation certification within thirty days of hire.
    • Ability to work evenings and weekends, drive frequently, and obtain an insurance license if required.
    • Flexible hours, but may require working up to 12 hours in a day.
    • Treat others with empathy and respect.
    • Knowledge of computers and some software required.
    • Customer service skills necessary.

    Compensation

    $14.42 (Bonus and Commission)

    This role earns monthly commissions. Incumbents' third-year total earnings average $100,000.
