As a Part-Time Behavior Therapist at Rise Up for Autism in Chicago, IL, you will have the opportunity to directly impact the growth and development of those we serve.     Make a difference as a Behavior Therapist

    As a new Behavior Therapist at Rise Up for Autism in Chicago, IL, you can expect to work closely with individuals with autism, implementing behavior intervention programs and collecting data on progress. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting therapy sessions, assisting with skill-building activities, and collaborating with the clinical team to ensure effective treatment plans. You will have the opportunity to make a measurable impact on the lives of individuals with autism, fostering growth and progress in a supportive environment. This position offers a consistent schedule with no nights or weekends, allowing for a healthy work-life balance as you dive into this rewarding role.

    Are you the Behavior Therapist we're looking for?

    To excel as a Behavior Therapist at Rise Up for Autism in Chicago, IL, you will need strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with individuals with autism and their families. Patience, empathy, and an understanding of behavioral principles are essential for implementing successful intervention strategies. Experience with data collection and analysis is beneficial, as you will be responsible for tracking progress and adjusting treatment plans accordingly. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation purposes and familiarity with behavioral therapy software tools are advantageous. Additionally, a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment, along with a passion for helping others, will contribute to your success in this role.

    Requirements:

    Must have:

    • patience
    • understanding
    • ability to lift 35-50 lbs
    • stand for long intervals,
    • run or chase for short periods of time
    • proficiency in English
    • High School diploma or equivalent

    Nice to have, but training is provided

    • Registered RBT Certification
