Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Senior Network Architect with CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) Level expertise to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

The ideal candidate will support the United States Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS) in maintaining its information technology (IT) enterprise infrastructure.

This individual will have a background in Dev Ops concepts.

Remote role. Must be local to the DC Metro area.

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure network architectures.
Provide architectural guidance for the development and implementation of network solutions.
Utilize expertise in Cisco technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices.
Optimize network performance, ensuring high availability, reliability, and scalability.
Collaborate with the security team to implement and maintain network security measures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide network solutions.
Provide advanced-level troubleshooting and support for network-related issues.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 12 years' of experience or a Master's degree and 10 years of experience or a High School Diploma and 16 years of experience.
U.S. Citizenship and must have the ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance.
10 years of experience as an Enterprise Architect specializing in network infrastructure services including a minimum of four (4) years of experience in cloud technologies such as but not limited to Azure and AWS.
A minimum of five 5 years of experience designing critical network infrastructure for a large / complex network.
Proficiency in infrastructure and network automation platforms and coding.
Demonstrated success in designing and implementing enterprise solutions aimed at enhancing enterprise availability and security.
Proven ability to develop comprehensive technology roadmaps to guide organizational growth.
Exceptional expertise at an expert level in network technologies, encompassing SDN, SDWAN, routing, switching, firewalls, wireless, application load balancing, and network visibility.
In-depth understanding and mastery of network practices, protocols, and methodologies.
Substantial hands-on experience with on-premise physical infrastructure and Virtualization technologies.
Expert knowledge in route optimization, dynamic routing, packet aggregation, IPV6, and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).
Extensive familiarity with networking and security methodologies and tools.
Proficiency in performing SME-level network troubleshooting to identify and resolve common network issues swiftly.
Demonstrated proficiency with major networking products from industry leaders like Cisco, Juniper, and VMWare, deployed via leading cloud providers.
Experience in effectively applying DevOps concepts to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

Current and relevant certification:
CCIE, with a commitment to continuous certification updates to remain aligned with evolving industry standards and best practices. Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
