    Boeing's Wideband Global Satellite GSCCE team seeks a Network Engineer to work with our DevSecOps team and system engineering teams to lead and ensure new Government Furnished Hardware is integrated into our command ground system platform are properly integrated into our current GSCCE systems and meet all GSCCE requirements.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Design, implement, field, and provide operational support for the Cisco UCS , VMware, NetApp infrastructure implemented in GSCCE Evolution.
    • Lead GSCCE installations in the field.
    • Train lower level engineers at the mission ground stations.
    • Server as hardware expert, lead integration engineer, and DSO Lead Engineer for WGS- GSCCE.
    • Design and configure all Cisco network devices to meet and exceed GSCCE networking requirements and needs.
    • Design and configure NetApp storage arrays to meet and exceed GSCCE Evolution storage requirements and needs, including significant optimization to improve performance.
    • Design and configure the Cisco UCS compute environment to meet and exceed GSCCE Evolution compute requirements.
    • Design and develop the tools and processes needed to deploy the VMware environment for the GSCCE system.
    • Work with CM to automate multiple maintenance features for the GSCCE system.
    • Install and configure the GSCCE hardware at all customer ground stations and the Integration Center.
    • Provide in depth analysis and development to ensure successful deployment of Kubernetes into AWS to support the deployment of Boeing's development CICD stack which consists of Artifactory, SonarQube, GitLab, Jenkins, Jira and Confluence.
    • Provide technical assistance to Software Developers and System Engineers.
    • Provide technical support for all environments and labs at BMOSC clearing roadblocks.
    This position is hybrid meaning you will be required to perform some work onsite in Colorado Springs, CO. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could change in the future.

    Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; domestically and internationally depending on business needs.

    This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
    • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
    • 10+ years of experience configuring Cisco Networking devices.
    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
    • 5+ years of experience in VM.
    • Proficient in Artifactory, SonarQube, GitLab, Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence.
    Typical Education & Experience:

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    Relocation:
