In this Litigation - Construction - General Attorney role, you will:

• Represent architects, engineers, and other design professionals in professional negligence and contract litigation

• Handle claims involving design defects, construction delays, scope changes, and related disputes

• Engage in pre-trial litigation, including drafting pleadings, motion practice, and managing discovery

• Collaborate closely with technical and damages experts to develop defensible trial strategies

• Participate in trials in federal, state, or tribal courts, as well as arbitration proceedings

• Work with insurance carriers and manage coverage-related issues

• Develop early case assessment strategies and evaluate cost-effective resolution pathways

• Communicate directly with clients, experts, and insurers in high-stakes matters

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will typically have:

• 4–8 years of construction litigation experience

• Experience representing design professionals in contract and professional negligence disputes

• Trial experience in federal, state, or tribal courts and/or arbitration

• Experience working with insurance carriers and coverage issues (strong plus)

• Prior experience at a reputable law firm preferred

• Portable book of business of approximately $350K preferred but not required

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree

• Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction (State Bar required)

• Strong litigation strategy, negotiation, and analytical skills

• Ability to collaborate effectively with expert witnesses
