Job Title: Adjunct Instructor, Personal Enrichment

This position is responsible for teaching non-credit courses for the Personal Enrichment program at Hagerstown Community College.

About the Program:

The Personal Enrichment program offers a variety of courses that cater to different interests and needs. Some popular course topics include culinary arts, dance, music, and recreation, as well as fine and studio art, photography, and crafting.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse students.
Provide detailed course descriptions and learning objectives.
Deliver instruction using effective technology and various methods.
Encourage critical thinking and open-minded inquiry.
Foster cooperation and respect among students.
Infuse multicultural perspectives into instructional processes.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:
- Appropriate education level (varies by course)
- Previous experience teaching
Skills and Abilities:
- Basic computer skills for using technology in the classroom
- Excellent presentation and demonstration skills
- Ability to build rapport with students

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor's, Master's degree, or PhD
Previous experience teaching at a post-secondary level
Experience teaching adult learners
Excellent oral and written communication skills
