Senior Registered Nurse (RN) - Transplant Intermediate Care (IMC)

Full-Time - Rotating Shift

Baltimore, Maryland

We are seeking skilled Transplant IMC - Registered Nurses to join our nursing team at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

JOB DUTIES:

This role is considered the minimum for all nurses at UMMC with over 12 months of experience.

The nurse will possess the necessary skills and knowledge, actively engaging in unit governance.
He/she will adhere to the guidelines outlined in the UMMC Professional Nurse Job Charter.
Independently delivering and coordinating care within a clinical specialty.
Acting as an effective member of the multidisciplinary patient care team.
Exemplifying the full range of nursing professional practice in care provision and contributing to strategies for improved patient outcomes, service satisfaction, and unit-level cost-effectiveness.
Being accountable to patients and families for care processes and outcomes, to peers for enhancing group practice, and to the nurse manager for overall work performance.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Maryland or eligibility for practice under Compact state agreements through the MD Board of Nursing.
BSN or Conferred BSN degree is a prerequisite.
Current CPR certification is mandatory.
Clinical work experience relevant to unit practice.
Maintenance of 20 contact hours of education every two years.
A member of a professional organization.
Minimum FTE of 0.50.
