- Preparing fiduciary, estate, and gift tax returns by required deadlines.
- Working with the tax and wealth transition team to ensure the various components of the tax process are performed.
- Working with the national Wealth Transition Services team on various projects.
- Working with clients to ensure relevant tax-related information is gathered so that an accurate tax return can be prepared.
- Looking at the tax situation of the individual and their estate from various angles to ensure the maximum tax benefit is applied.
- Attending professional development and training seminars on a regular basis.
- Effectively interacting with all levels of staff, clients, and other external business contacts.
- You have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- You are a multi-tasking master and there is never a deadline you can't meet.
- You enjoy keeping up-to-date on the ever-changing tax industry's regulations and policies.
- You have a knack for solving problems and easily notice issues while bringing solutions to the table.
- In addition to all of this, you have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, hold a valid CPA license or are working towards obtaining a CPA license preferred; Enrolled Agent (EA) certification also accepted, and have 3 or more years of experience in public accounting tax work including experience with gift, trust and estate tax returns.
