JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a candidate with a proven background defining cloud architecture and implementing cloud engineering solutions. As a cloud Engineer, you will provide expert advice and lead the design and implementation of the cloud components in hybrid cloud environment including Azure and GCP. In this role, you will lead implementing solutions with a process-driven view, as well as scheduled maintenance and/or updates to existing structures.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cloud Engineer role will deliver on the following responsibilities:

• Build public cloud platform foundations architecture that includes Security, governance, and operations.
• Implement selected cloud solutions in the Azure and GCP Cloud environments.
• Build and publish cloud implementation standards, design patterns.
• Partner with the Security and operations to effectively build the platform.
• Build life cycle automation for various public cloud services using Terraform and other Infrastructure as a code tools.
• Build the Cloud Engineering program vision and strategy covering all aspects from architecture, design, development, and deployment.
• Implement and configure security controls for public cloud services.
• Train junior engineers in the team and mentor them.
• May participate in other ad-hoc projects to upgrade or install cloud components, workstations, networks, or software, or to assess and optimize overall functioning of technology, data, and processes.

Position Requirements

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, Advanced Azure/ GCP certifications

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

• At least 7 years of Enterprise level Information Technology experience.
• 3 plus years of Cloud Engineering experience.
• Experience designing, building, and implementing cloud architecture within cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) Azure and GCP preferred.
• Hands on experience in Azure and/ or GCP core services required.
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing large scale platforms with high resiliency, availability, and reliability using public cloud infrastructure.
• Experience in implementing security architecture and best practices in cloud infrastructure.
• On prem to Cloud migration experience is a plus.
• Experience in Networking and Security Architecture
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code solutions. Terraform experience a must. Ansible, puppet, chef experience preferred.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and hands on experience implementing CICD pipelines and scanning tools.
• Experience with micro services architecture is preferred.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills preferred.
• Able to adapt to changes in a dynamic work environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
