Senior Project Cost Estimator - Los Angeles

presents comprehensive construction cost estimates for buildings and infrastructure based on project drawings, specifications and outlines.
Develops and evaluates cost estimates forms and supporting materials required for securing state and federal grants including school aid programs while representing the district in related funding discussions.
Reviews verifies the accuracy completeness of construction cost estimates submitted by architects engineers comparing them with internal district estimates Collaborates with architects engineers to reconcile discrepancies between external district cost estimates negotiating agreements on preliminary project projections analyses reports when contractor bids significantly deviate from agreed construction costs Examines contractors breakdowns for contract work recommending acceptance rejection as basis progress payments Evaluates approves rejects submitted change orders ongoing projects additional charges credits Creates reviews distiller strategies various projects ensure accuracy alignment objective Establishes oversees procedures building plan specification submission public bidding Develops maintains systems tracking analyzing data records charts graphs estimated construction costs actual expenditures Organizes participates seminars workshops staff minority contractors provide guidance bidding procedures contracts estimation school projects Prepares assessments damage District property caused incidents fires natural disasters vandalism Establishes monitors project budgets school building initiatives Provides assistance consultation other branches functions responsibilities Prepares independent preliminary final support negotiations designers contractors PM CM teams Generates change order cost assist Owner Authorized Representatives negotiation processes Offers expertise pricing negotiations projects Develops analysis estimating claims disputes Reviews claim proposals validity accountability alignment terms Performs additional responsibilities required
