    Job Description

    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (
    CVPICU) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of
    CVPICU or PICU experience and an OH or compact RN license in hand.

    Responsibilities
    Work setting is a pediatric hospital
    CVPICU
    Patient population includes pediatric cardiovascular and congenital heart disease cases
    Key procedures and skills include hemodynamic monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, arterial line management, central line/PICC line care, CRRT, IV vasopressors, continuous sedation, and full ventilator management
    Preferred skills include ECMO, post cardiac surgery and catheterization care, ventricular assist device (LVAD/RVAD) management, and congenital heart disease/repair
    Respiratory skills include chest tube management, intubation assist, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, tracheostomy care, ABG interpretation, and ETT/NT suctioning

    Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00–19:30

    Floating is required and may include NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and med/surg units as needed
    Provide critical care nursing to pediatric cardiovascular patients, including post-surgical and post-catheterization cases
    Care responsibilities include managing ventilated patients, administering IV vasopressors and continuous sedation, performing pediatric dosage calculations, and maintaining isolation precautions/PPE
    First-time travelers are welcome to apply

    Requirements
    Active OH or compact RN license currently in hand

    Current certifications required:
    BLS, ACLS, PALS
    Minimum 2 years of
    CVPICU or PICU experience in a pediatric hospital — this is a hard stop requirement
    Must be willing and able to float to various units including NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and med/surg
    Two supervisory references required; at least one must hold a manager or supervisor title (charge nurse references do not qualify)
    Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
    Must not have worked as a permanent employee at this facility within the past 2 years
