    Description

    We are currently seeking a Sales Tax Analyst for a well recognized local organization. The Sales Tax Analyst role will report into the Tax Manager and will provide support for sales tax compliance for all locations.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Prepare all sales tax compliance analyses and returns meeting remittance deadlines.
    • Research and maintain all sales tax compliance elements, and sales tax rates.
    • Incorporate sales tax remittance activity into relevant forecasting efforts.
    • Administer sales tax audits
    • Establish and maintain procedures to ensure use tax compliance
    • Administer jurisdictional notices and correspondence related to transactional tax compliance
    • Administer transaction tax record retention requirements
    • Assist with other tax compliance initiatives as needed.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (will also consider Associates in Accounting with right experience)
    • 2-5 years sales tax, or similar transaction tax compliance experience
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP data interface functionality
    • Sales Tax research experience.
    • Ability to meet multiple recurring deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
    • Detail oriented with a problem solving mind-set
    • Demonstrated planning and organization skills
