    The Toro Company has an opening for a Senior Director – Environmental Health and Safety position at its facility in Bloomington, Minnesota


    Duties include:

    consulting or negotiating with clients to prepare project specifications; conferring with management, production, or marketing staff to discuss project specifications or procedures; assessing project feasibility by analyzing technology, resource needs, or market demand; developing and implementing TTC's EHS strategy, management system, processes, and tools; building and developing a high-performing team while encouraging open employee communication and talent development; ensuring a robust set of leading indicators to focus on EHS risk reduction, compliance, and strong EHS and sustainability results; awareness of multinational EHS laws, regulations, and standards and responsible for developing and implementing the company's policies, procedures, and governance/auditing program to ensure compliance with the same; providing EHS due diligence support and guidance for company's transactional matters, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, real property sales, new site development, and site decommissioning and closure activities; implementing innovative approaches to reducing EHS risk and to advancing sustainability goals across company operational footprint; collaborating with operational leaders to foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning; managing TTC's environmental program capabilities, including corporate environmental contracts for effective waste management, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation; communicating TTC's EHS performance, liabilities, and risks to senior executive leaders and other key stakeholders; managing annual operating budget, capital, and expense in support of EHS goals and objectives including direct and matrixed employees; leading TTC's Enterprise Security team; allocating resources and leading the C-TPAT program across border locations.

    Position requires 50% travel, including international travel. Requires Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety, or equivalent foreign degree. Position also requires at least 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related role in a multinational organization.

    At least 2 years of this experience must include developing and implementing EH&S standards and procedures for domestic and international manufacturing locations; maintaining C-TPAT certification for companies; and as Lead Auditor attaining and recertifying ISO certifications for domestic and international manufacturing locations.

    Certifications as Lead Auditor in ISO 45001/OHSAS-18001 and ISO 14001 are required. Position requires 50% travel, including international travel.
