Job summary

This position serves as an unclassified employee of the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce. The employee performs various duties related to education policy development and implementation.

The job requires travel throughout the State of Ohio and may involve overnight stays. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching or administrative roles in special education instruction and procedures required by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Additionally, they should possess skills in data analysis project management improvement planning progress monitoring public relations agency policies government structure process verbal numerical reasoning typing word processing clerical interpersonal proofreading technical materials recognizing errors making corrections answering routine telephone inquiries from public organization communication coaching critical thinking goal setting verbal communication observation professional development technical assistance differentiated instruction assessment aligned state standards protocols for monitoring tools support improvement activities lead work management training public relations

Duties include but are not limited to: conducting on-site comprehensive monitoring evaluation & investigation of school districts community schools educational agencies collecting data facilitating plans improving results students performing trend analysis using national statewide district data informing decisions relating policy development problem identification individual district progress comparative studies responding legislative administrative requests data-based information designing participating presenting professional development technical assistance building capacity state delivering differentiated instruction assessment aligned state standards completes action plans develops professional relationships sections Office Exceptional Children conducts research relative improving progress all students performs other related duties assigned e.g develops disseminates support tools products provide opportunities exceptional children at-risk learners make progress general education curriculum develops protocols monitoring tool supports improve ment activitie=
