Summary:
The
CRB Community Development Director
will be responsible for coordinating and driving Huntington's commitment to serve our communities through the development of strategies and initiatives to meet the Community Development and Community Plan goals for Consumer and Regional Banking ("CRB").
This role provides expertise and effectively communicates with the President of CRB, the Executive Leadership Team, Regional Banking Senior Leadership and CRA Officer on Community Development strategies and initiatives, leads the development and implementation of CD strategies across all markets, assists and provides insights on strategic projects and initiatives at the corporate level, and coordinates and implements CD service programs in support of the Bank's CRA obligations.
Duties And Responsibilities
Coordinate with the Corporate CRA Officer to develop and implement annual strategic initiatives to comply with CRA requirements and meet business objectives including the achievement of Community Development Goals for CRB.
Collaborate with CRB leadership and Regional Presidents to ensure a comprehensive and collaborative outreach program which focuses on driving community development performance, social and racial equity, and cultural alignment on a local level in all markets.
Lead team to develop a robust and diverse financial empowerment, board service, and volunteerism program that meets the needs of our markets and leverages local talent across the enterprise.
Ensure community development service performance meets or exceeds goals.Serve as liaison with DEI Director, Marketing & Communications, and other related entities to ensure greater synergies of strategies, goals, and programming.
Manage Risk and complete CRA exam deliverables as defined by Executive Leadership.Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
15+ years of community relations, public relations, marketing and bank leadership experience
10+ years of leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated passion for community involvement and ability to establish new partnerships in the community
Ability to identify and implement strategic community partnerships
Excellent interpersonal, public speaking and written communication skills
Executive presence with strong presentation skills in small and large/ public group settings
Demonstrated ability to influence without authority
Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy and within set time frames
Proven track record of coaching and developing high performing teams
Experience and knowledge working in the banking industry
Deep knowledge and experience of the (CRA) Community Reinvestment Act
Ability to work and lead in a matrix environment
Demonstrated leadership with significant experience and passion for non-profit, small business and affordable housing programs
