    Job Title: Fry Cook

    Location: Melbourne, FL
    Reports To: Head/Executive Chef
    Working Hours: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8 am to 3:30 or 9 am to 2 pm.

    ***SUNDAYS A MUST - Other days can be discussed.
    Job Summary:

    The Fry Cook planning, prepping, cooking and breakdown as scheduled by Chef de Cuisine.
    Duties/Responsibilities:
    • Prepare fried items for service based on volume.
    • Comply with Suntree Country Club quality standards.
    • Communicate with the Chef and other staff with needed equipment and supplies.
    • Arrive on time and ready to work.
    • Set up, maintain, and break down workstations.
    • Uses food preparation equipment accordingly.
    • Ensure workstations and equipment are clean and sanitary.
    • Proper breakdown & cleaning of the assigned stations after every shift: counters, shelves, trash and floors.
    • Must be able to identify different types of foods and chemicals.
    • Must have proper knife skills and be able to produce food properly.
    • Organize station, coolers/freezers, and check dates.
    • Assist dishwasher as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    • Basic understanding of or the ability to learn basic sanitation and regulations for workplace safety.
    • Basic understanding of or the ability to learn food handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures.

    • Ability to maintain personal hygiene.
    Education and Experience:
    • High school or vocational school coursework in kitchen basics such as food safety, preferred.
    • Prior related experience preferred.
    Physical Requirements:
    • Prolonged periods of standing and working in a kitchen.
    • Exposure to extreme heat, steam, and cold present in a kitchen environment.
    • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
    • Must be able to work late nights and unpredictable hours.
    • Manual dexterity to cut and chop foods and perform other related tasks.
    • Must be able to work your assigned station daily & rapidly during rush hours.
