Role Purpose

The Applications Engineer, based in Somerset, NJ, is a multifaceted role requiring an in-depth understanding of BEUMER products and applications.

This position is responsible for analyzing customer requirements, developing innovative solutions, and overseeing the design process using 2D and 3D CAD.

Additionally, the Applications Engineer collaborates with Sales, Engineering, and Software/Controls departments to ensure the success of system designs.

The Applications Engineer is responsible for producing technical documents, such as proposals and process flows, and actively participates in client meetings and calls.

Key Responsibilities:

Subject Matter Expertise:
Become an expert in BEUMER products and applications.

Stay up to date on industry trends and developments.

Requirements Analysis and Solution Development:
Analyze customer requirements to identify system design needs.

Develop innovative solutions using 2D and 3D CAD.


Collaboration:
Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Software/Controls departments to design and develop effective system solutions.

Cost Estimation and Vendor Management:
Develop detailed cost estimates for system solutions.

Manage vendor responses to RFPs and developing detailed cost estimates.


Technical Documentation:
Produce technical documents, including proposals and process flows.


Process Development:
Develop tools and assist in process development as needed.


Client Engagement:
Attend client meetings and calls as necessary.


Sales Support:
Work with Sales to transition proposals to orders.

Special Projects and Other Duties:
Perform special projects and other assigned duties as required.
