    PLACE OF WORK: Guest rooms, linen and linen chute room, storage closets, mechanical rooms.

    JOB OVERVIEW: Responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness for all guest rooms, creating any maintenance requests for room work orders in Nuvola property management system. Room attendants will have a positive and friendly demeanor towards all, providing excellent service to hotel guests and overall representing the company in a professional manner.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Essential:

    1. Ability to communicate with fellow team members and guests.

    2. Physically able to work 8-hour shifts cleaning between 16 rooms per shift.

    3. Thorough knowledge of hotel services and facilities.

    Desired:

    1. High School Diploma or equivalent

    2. Previous experience as a hotel room attendant is preferred

    3. Knowledge of proper chemical handling

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    Essential:

    1. Must have professional image; ensuring to be always in uniform and that uniforms are clean and presentable.

    2. Represents the hotel and neighborhood in a professional manner.

    3. Ability to always display a pleasant demeanor with both guests and fellow team members.

    4. Ability to work together as a team, working to benefit the whole hotel and not just a single department. Effectively communicates all needs and information to the correct department/team member through Nuvola.

    5. Must be flexible with scheduling and available to work on weekends and holidays.

    6. Must be at work on time and ready for all scheduled shifts.

    7. Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    8. Able to work well independently with little supervision.

    9. Must be thorough in completing all tasks, following all procedures and not taking shortcuts.

    10. Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

    11. Keeps the work area clean, organized and always presentable.

    12. Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of all guests and general hotel information.

    DAILY JOB FUNCTIONS:

    1. Sign out keys with supervisor and fill out appropriate information in the Key Log.

    2. Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements to ensure all chemicals are correctly labeled.

    3. Clean guest rooms in order of importance outlined by supervisory staff.

    4. Stock cart with the appropriate supplies for the day's workload.

    5. Clean assigned guest rooms.

    6. Empty trash containers.

    7. Remove all dirty terry and replace with clean par to designated layout.

    8. Remove soil, dirt, soap build-up and hair from bathroom mirrors, vanity, sink, toilet, shower/tub walls, shower curtain, hair dryer and floor.

    9. Replace facial, toilet tissue and bathroom amenities in correct amount and location.

    10. Remove dirty bed linen and make up bed with clean linen.

    11. Discard dirty terry and linen down the linen chute.

    12. Dust and polish all furniture, including high surfaces and ledges.

    13. Ensure all furniture is in good condition and correctly positioned.

    14. Open all drawers/doors in checkout rooms and remove items left by guest. Dust inside.

    15. Check under bed(s) and furniture for debris and remove if present.

    16. Inspect the condition of all furniture and carpet for tears, rips or stains: report any damage through Nuvola.

    17. Dust pictures, frames, and mirrors.

    18. Clean all lamps and light switches, check for proper working order.

    19. Remove dust, spots and smears from windows, ledges and frames.

    20. Remove dust on drapes weekly and realign to correct position daily.

    21. Remove dust, dirt, marks and fingerprints from entrance door(s) and clean base of door and door handles.

    22. Ensure presence of fire safety and DND sign. Inspect condition and replace as needed.

    23. Remove dust, dirt and smudges from A/C unit, vents, grids and thermostat. Ensure it is in working order.

    24. Remove dust, stains and marks from all baseboards, ledges and corners.

    25. Vacuum/sweep/mop floor in guest room.

    26. Spray room with deodorizer.

    27. Update status of rooms cleaned in Nuvola.

    28. Return master keys and record in the Key Log.

    29. Assist guest requests and complaints to the best of your ability and report any escalated situations to the supervisor for further service recovery.

    30. Report any damage or maintenance problems in Nuvola.
