    Description

    Job Title: Clinical Social Worker

    Company: Mental Health Care Facility

    Clinical Responsibilities:

    • Conducts in-depth psychosocial assessments to identify and address patient needs
    • Assists patients and the treatment team in navigating challenges
    • Manages case assignments from admission to post-discharge follow-up
    • Provides therapeutic counseling and crisis intervention
    • Delivers lectures and educational presentations on mental health topics
    • Educates veterans and families on available options
    • Organizes outpatient aftercare treatments for patients
    • Provides transportation assistance to veterans when necessary
    • Serves as a resource expert for VA and community services
    • Supports other clinicians when required

    Administrative Responsibilities:

    • Records all patient interactions accurately and confidentially
    • Builds positive relationships with stakeholders
    • Attends meetings and contributes to performance improvement
    • Ensures coverage in the absence of colleagues
    • Completes required continuing education hours
    • Adheres to professional regulations and ethical standards
    • Gathers feedback from clients to improve services

    Enriching Elements:

    • Provides clinical supervision to trainees
    • Offers guidance to assigned unit staff
    • Consults with medical center staff on psychological characteristics
    • Offers professional opinions based on expertise
    • Teaches and mentors staff and students
    • Participates in VA committees and events
    • Represents the Medical Center at community events

    Work Schedule: M-F, 07:30am-4:00pm
    Compressed/Flexible: Available as needed for clinical programming
    Telework: Ad-hoc basis
