Overview

A national commercial general contractor, located in Lanham, Maryland is looking to add a Construction Estimator with 7+ years commercial construction experience with a

focus on retail, restaurants, and remodeling projects.

Responsibilities

• Review specifications and drawings
• Attend pre-bid meetings
• Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to review and write scopes of work for all Construction Trades (Division 1-16)
• Ensure sufficient subcontractor coverage for each and every bid.
• Ability to review bids against plans to ensure full scope of work is covered,
• Prepare bid general conditions and review with operations before bid submittal.
• Ability to compile pricing for final bid to owners.
• Assist with pricing change orders if required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to review and write scopes of work for all
• Construction Trades (Division 1-16)
• Ability to assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands.
• Planning and organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Trustworthy, self-motivated, passionate and dedicated to high-quality work
• Working with others
• Thorough knowledge of Windows/Word/Excel a must.
