To be part of our organization every employee should understand and share in the YNHHS Vision support our Mission and live our Values.The Armed Public Safety Officer performs a variety of duties to ensure the welfare of patients employees and visitors; protects grounds buildings equipment and supplies of the hospital;
Ensures that fire drills are performed
- Patrols the exterior of the hospital related buildings checking doors windows opens secures areas as required check for safety violations conducts rounds throughout the hospital.
- Monitors parking lots garage takes appropriate enforcement action when warranted provides escorts contacts vehicle owners lights on flat tires etc.
- Patrols interior enforces policies procedures relating to visitors smoking access control proper passes badges collects tags logs lost found articles responds emergencies calls ensures safety employees patients visitors makes assignments assigns other respondents maintain control situation gains patient make safest decisions.
