    The Position:

    As a Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and design of our customers' IT systems while managing complex projects and implementing innovative IT solutions. Your key responsibilities will include assisting our service desk, handling escalation tickets, and working on a variety of small to medium-sized IT projects.     • Install, maintain, and support various systems while assisting users with their inquiries and issues.
    • Perform system backups and recovery, and install new software as needed.

    Key Technical Requirements:

    • 3-7+ years of field and helpdesk technical support experience for small and medium-sized businesses.
    • Strong grounding in data integrity and standard backup practices (Veeam and Acronis experience preferred).
    • Expertise in Windows Server administration.
    • Experience in building and maintaining virtual environments (Hyper-V, VMware, Azure).
    • Familiarity with MAC and Windows workstation operating systems.
    • Proficient in productivity applications (Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, etc.).
    • Experience with network security and firewall management (Cisco, Meraki, SonicWall, etc.).
    • Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
    • Experience with enterprise email systems (Microsoft Exchange, Google Suite).
    • Capability in Office 365 deployment and security.

    • Server management and virtualization.
    • Technical project management.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Provide responsive support for desktop, server, and network issues.
    • Accurately record daily time spent on tasks (minimum of 7.5 hours).
    • Maintain a monthly billing efficiency of 80% or more.
    • Work on workstation tickets while being capable of resolving server and network issues.
    • Deliver outstanding customer service with a positive attitude.
    • Manage both proactive and reactive issues within service level agreements.
    • Maintain a detail-oriented approach while performing complex technical tasks.
    • Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical clients.
    • Mentor new engineers and contribute to their professional development.

    Miscellaneous Requirements:

    • Document all work through service tickets in ConnectWise.
    • Availability for on-call duties approximately once every three months.
    • Flexibility for occasional nights and weekends for maintenance and projects.
    • Willingness to travel for client onsite visits, with possible overnight stays.
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential.
    • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

    Experience:

    • 3-7 years in desktop support (required).
    • 3-7 years in customer service (required).
    • 2-7 years in Windows server support (required).
    • 1-7 years in firewall and network support (preferred).
    • 2-7 years in Managed Services Provider experience (preferred).
    • 4-7 years in technical support environments preferred.
