    SummaryProduces very complex machined parts by setting up, programming and operating a Swiss computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; and maintaining equipment.

    Primary ResponsibilitiesSets up very complex parts in CNC machines without assistance or supervisionAbility to read and understand a CNC programMust have the ability to make CNC program changes to ensure part conformity as neededChange tools, adjust heights and tool comps to maintain required quality output of machineTrain and mentor less experienced machinists, especially on machine setupInspect products during the machining operation to determine if parts meet specifications, complying with established standards and methods for inspection, testing, evaluation and calibrationFollow all job work order instructionsMust be able to run more than one machine where cycle time permitsComplete all required shop floor documentation for the job including both part dimensional and visual inspectionMaintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; reports to management/maintenance the need for machine repairsUnderstands and complies with company policy safety guidelines, quality systems requirements and housekeeping standardsQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalentA minimum of 5 years' experience setting up CNC machine toolsA minimum of 1 year of Experience editing CNC machine programs and writing basic programsMust be a U.S.

    Citizen or Permanent Resident, due to contractual requirementsPreferred QualificationsAbility to read and understand blueprints including GD&T tolerancing with profile tolerancing preferredStrong math backgroundDemonstrated problem solving abilityStrong attention to detailEffective verbal and written communication skillsPhysical Demands and Work Environment:
    While performing the duties of this job, continuous mental and visual attention is needed. The ability to stand for a shift, sit, talk and hear is frequently required. Lifting up to 40 pounds is required. Exposure to manufacturing areas where temperature may vary and personal protective equipment is required.
