    Overview

    Fleet Feet's DC Inventory Coordinator is accountable for regular and accurate fulfillment of products to our stores and direct to our customers is vital to the success of the business. The Distribution Center Inventory Specialist will play a key role in accomplishing that by being responsible for maintaining and correcting inventory in our distribution center. This will require proficiency in the warehouse management system in order to complete regularly scheduled directed counts (cycle counts), emergency cycle counts, and movement of product from overstock locations to primary pick bins as a key part of the larger Inbound team and the entire distribution center team. This position requires availability to work 40 hours per week on-site in a fast-paced environment in our Durham, NC Distribution Center.

    Responsibilities
    • Completion of directed counts (cycle counts) of warehouse inventory within the specified time frame as directed by the Inbound Manager
    • Completion of emergency cycle counts as they are discovered by the outbound team throughout the warehouse.
    • Movement of units from overstock locations to primary pick bins
    • Ownership of the inventory accuracy of the distribution center with a goal of 99% inventory accuracy as part of the larger distribution center strategic vision and goals
    • Order fill rate goal of 98% as related to inventory accuracy/availability as part of the larger distribution center strategic vision and goals
    • Ability to work on location in our Durham, NC Distribution Center 40 hours per week
    • Flexibility to work as part of the larger Inbound Team and help with PO receiving and putaway as needed by the Inbound Manager.
    Required Competencies:

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Mastery of Korber WMS
    • Anticipates the need for flexibility when business changes. Shifts tasks to align with business priorities and guides team members in their department to do the same
    • Collaborates with Managers on innovative procedures to improve inventory management
    Qualifications
    • High school diploma or equivalent experience or equivalent.
    • At least 6 months of experience within a distribution center
    Physical Requirements:
    • Prolonged periods of standing on your feet in a warehouse environment
    • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds multiple times
    • Must be comfortable using a ladder on occasion

    Additional Requirements: Hours of work for this position may vary based on work schedule. Position requires moving around for periods of 2-4 hours without a rest break task sequencing, and using point-of-sale computers. Occasional moderate to heavy lb) lifting and carrying, bending and reaching overhead may be required. Work environment includes substantial communication with customers, working in a retail environment with product displays and stockroom with inventory, and potentially slippery surfaces.
