    Multiple positions available Starting rate at $30.00/hr.

    Follow all applicable policies and procedures and ensure safety rules are observeWear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, goggles, gloves, ear plugs, metatarsal safety shoes, etc.) as requiredRequired to work overtime schedule as requested to meet production needs based on established overtime proceduresOperate machinist tools including CNC machinesUse precision measuring devices to effectively machine partsDeburr partsParticipate in problem solving, continuous improvement initiatives and provide feedback in areas of People, Quality, Velocity and CostUse blueprints, gauges, torque measuring devices and/or other equipment to ensure conformance to quality specificationsUse and on for identification of variance from standard workBe available to assist in other areas as neededParticipate in activities and exercises in support of the Caterpillar Production System (CPS) - 5S, RIWs, etc.


    Required Qualifications:


    Trade School Certificate, Associates Degree in Machine Technology, or High School Diploma/GED equivalent and minimum 2 years experience in setting up and operating CNC machinesKnowledge of how to set and use gauges such as calipers, bore micrometers, dial indicators, etc.

    Ability to read and interpret blueprints for datum lines and tolerancesAbility to interpret GD&TUnderstand and use of measuring devicesUse of advance shop mathAbility to work overtime as neededMust be willing to work any shiftDesired Qualifications:
    Previous Machinist experienceAbility to communicate effectively both oral and written

    Compensation Grade Range:
    $ $39.72

    Summary Pay Range:
    $0.00 - $0.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
