    Under limited supervision, reviews Commercial Real Estate collateral loans in order to determine if documentation requirements are met to allow for loan closing. Assist with ordering title work, loan closing documents, and additional items needed to process and close loans. Additionally, the CRE Closer will review final closing loan documents for loan funding and will assist with insurance monitoring duties.

    Responsibilities

    1. Reviews commercial real estate files for required documentation (i.e. flood certificates, appraisals, environmental site assessments, and title commitments).
    2. Completes checklist approval based on documentation received.
    3. Promptly responds to calls and emails from lending staff.
    4. Orders flood certificates and verifies flood insurance is in place, when applicable.
    5. Orders title work and loan documents on Commercial Real Estate loans with large commitment amounts.
    6. Reviews and approves HUD's.
    7. Sends loans for booking, sends wires, approves funding with title companies. Packages the closed loan for internal monitoring and storing.
    8. Reviews renewed flood insurance policies, updates internal tracking systems, and verifies third party vendor information is correct.
    9. Assists with monitoring insurance with a third-party vendor for force placed insurance, collateral updates, builder's risk insurance. Runs weekly reports and performs other insurance monitoring tasks, as required.
    10. Reviews and monitors third party reports for changes in flood zones.
    11. Assists lending staff with pre and post-closing real estate insurance questions.
    12. May cross-train within other areas of the department to provide support as needed.
    13. Other duties as required.
    Qualifications
    • High School diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent required.
    • 2 years of experience in lending or loan operations field required; experience with commercial real estate loans strongly preferred.
    • Knowledge of Flood Regulation requirements preferred.
    • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Excellent PC skills, including word processing and spreadsheets via Microsoft Office products as well as custom applications and systems.
    • Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment.
    • Must be self-motivated with strong attention to detail and high level of accountability.
