    Responsibilities This position provides supports the Chairman's Exercise Program Division (CEPD), which serves as the focal point for interagency coordination in support of J7-sponsored exercises, experimentation, concept development, and wargaming
    CEPD conducts command post exercises (CPXs), Senior Leader Forums (SLF) and other training events, focused on joint doctrine, policies, procedures, systems, and training to ensure effective strategic direction and integration of US, coalition military forces, the interagency (IA), and civilian mission partners worldwide as well as to meet the readiness and operational needs of the Joint Staff
    Plans and coordinates DOD participation in the NATO Crisis Management Exercise (CMX), partnership engagements, and conducts routine workshops and conferences to enhance partner engagement
    Position is contingent upon contract award
    CEPD plans and conducts the POSITIVE RESPONSE (PR) Exercise, coordinates Joint Staff simulation support to up to ten additional CCMD exercises, participates in up to two Globally Integrated Exercise (GIEs), plans and conducts up to six non-Positive Response Joint Staff exercises, coordinates interorganizational partner participation in up to two hundred DoD readiness training and exercise events, coordinates DoD engagement in up to ten National Exercise program (NEP) exercises, coordinates DoD engagement in up to four interorganizational partner-sponsored exercises, coordinates DoD involvement in the National Level Exercise (NLE), coordinates USG involvement in the NATO CMX, coordinate DoD involvement in up to six Principal level Exercises (PLEs) and Senior Level Exercises (SLEs), coordinates up to two Interorganizational Tabletop Exercises (ITX), coordinates JS and IA participation in up to three J7-hosted senior leader forums (SLFs), and up to two additional CJCS directed events

    Responsibilities include:

    • Develop and implement plans to integrate and exercise Joint Staff Directorates and OSD into NSC, NEP, CJCS, and CCMD Exercises, develop and coordinate preparedness and exercise related studies, and support the growth and evolution of the GIE, GIWG, and LSGE including the continued refinement of identified PR exercises' alignment to these events.
    • I nteract monthly with Joint Staff Directorates, Combatant Commands (COCOM), Services, Combat Support Agencies (CSA), and the National Guard Bureau (NGB) to ensure requirements for partner support are up to date

    The contractor shall coordinate with the COCOMs, Services, CSAs, and NGB to collect and collate IA training, exercise, and experimentation requirements.


    • Develop, plan, and conduct exercises, including developing goals, plans, objectives, milestones, schedule, briefings, event lists, documentation, assessments: Joint Staff Exercises, Tabletop Exercises, Positive Response Exercises, Joint Training Exercise Evaluation Program events, Principle Level Exercise (PLE) and Senior Leader Exercise (SLE), Coalition and Allied Partnership Events, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Crisis Management Exercise (CMX).
    • Integrate OSD objectives, scenario triggers, player requirements, and evaluation criteria in up to eight CCMD or Joint Staff sponsored exercises Partners and Interorganizational Integration Conference (PIIC).
    • Develop and conduct the annual PIIC in the NCR
    Promote partner training and exercise needs by hosting NCR based events via VTC that address partner objectives.


    • Develop all exercises, training, and other readiness and preparedness initiatives that are included in the Exercise Development Portfolio enter and track CEPD Exercise Development Initiatives via the Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS) and the Joint Training Tool (JTT)
    coordinate and communicate exercise objectives from Joint Staff, OSD, CCMD, Services, Combat Support Agency, and DoD Academic Institutions.


    • Provide Joint Staff and interagency coordination support to J7-sponsored events including GIE, LSGE, and GIWG
    Coordinate all DoD requirements into the White House directed NLE
    Qualifications Required Qualifications, Experience, and Certifications


    • BS/BA degree and 10-years' Service and/or joint military training experience performing the design, planning, preparing, executing, and assessing exercises and events.
    • Expert knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of joint exercises with a broad knowledge of military command structure, missions, programs, and organizational relationships and program goals and objectives; the sequence and timing of key issues and milestones; and methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning actions related to key command exercise actions.
    • TOP SECRET Clearance / Special Compartment Indoctrination (SCI) eligible
    • Working knowledge of current Microsoft Office applications.
    • Have good analytical skills and be able to operate in a demanding environment while executing multiple tasks simultaneously.
