    Description
    Vaco is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join one of our premier Birmingham clients on their growing team.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auditing, risk management, and internal controls in a public accounting setting.


    Responsibilities:


    Develop and implement internal audit programs to evaluate the effectiveness of the organization's risk management, internal controls, and compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

    Conduct audits of financial and operational processes, including reviewing and analyzing financial statements, identifying potential fraud or errors, and making recommendations for improvement.

    Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to develop and implement effective risk management strategies and controls.
    Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed.

    Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    Minimum of 2of experience in internal auditing or public accounting
    Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
    Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.

    Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
    the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
    licensure and certification requirements;
    office location and other geographic considerations;
    other business and organizational needs.

    With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.

    The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
