    2nd Shift 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm M-F occasional overtime and Saturday work

    Impact Housing is quickly becoming the most active developer of housing in

    Southern California, by deploying our mission-driven, vertically integrated housing

    production and activation model. We are scaling our company to build and activate


    high volumes of unsubsidized new housing that is affordable to moderate- and low-income households, and in so doing, help solve Southern California's housing crisis.

    The company currently has several San Diego projects under construction and in the

    development process and is on track to build 10,000 apartment units in San Diego

    this decade.

    SUMMARY OF POSITION
    The HVAC Installer will be installing and testing heating, ventilation, and

    conditioning (HVAC) units.


    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Installs new HVAC units in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings.
    • Installs ductwork and thermostats to control HVAC system.
    • Performs routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure they operate
    properly.


    • Inspects and troubleshoots problems with existing HVAC units.
    • Installs replacement parts on existing HVAC units.
    • Maintains inventory of replacement parts and orders replacements.
    • Complies with company and industry safety standards.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Highschool diploma or equivalent required
    • Vocational/technical school training or apprenticeship required
    • Two years of related experience preferred

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Physically able to work on HVAC units
    • Will be required to work in settings with extreme heat, depending on time of
    the year


    • Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders
    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times

    COMPENSATION

    • Competitive hourly range of $19-21 depending on skills and experience.
